GRAMMY MUSEUM SCREENING: BLACK MUSIC APPRECIATION MONTH

Director, Kenny Vance and Moderator, Brande Victorian

Kicking off Black Music Appreciation Month at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, the screening of Heart & Soul was not just amazing entertainment, music and storytelling -- it cemented DooWop’s place in music history. The event was moderated by Brande Victorian (The Hollywood Reporter) and emcee’ed by Ericka Pittman. An opening monologue by hip-hop icon Christopher “Kid” Reid set the tone, putting the film in context with his original poem, “From Doo Wop to Hip Hop.”
